Daily Gold News: April 22 – More Record Highs for Gold Price

Gold is extending a record-breaking rally, reaching its new record abovce $3,500.

The gold futures contract gained 2.51% on Monday, April 21, as it reached yet another new record highs, nearing the $3,450 level. Gold keeps advancing on continuing economic uncertainty, tariff developments, weakening U.S. dollar. In early April, it retreated from its previous high, trading as low as $2,970.40.

On November 14, gold was the lowest since mid-September after dropping in a reaction to the presidential elections. Gold extended its decline from the late October high, reaching a local low of $2,541.50.

This morning, gold is pulling back from a new record high, as we can see on the daily chart (the chart includes today’s intraday data):

The gold price is 1.2% higher, as it is trading above the $3,450 level. What about the other precious metals? Silver is 0.4% higher, platinum is 0.8% higher and palladium is 1.2% higher. So, the main precious metals’ prices are higher this morning.

Today, we will get the Richmond Manufacturing Index release at 10:00 a.m.
