Daily Gold News: October 21 – Gold Price Keeps Surging
Gold reaches new records, as it’s trading near the $2,750 level for the first time.
The gold futures contract gained 0.83% on Friday, October 18, as it further extended its record-breaking advance, following Thursday’s breakout above the $2,700 level. Gold kept rallying despite strengthening U.S. dollar, stock market’s uncertainty.
This morning, gold is reaching a new all-time high again, as we can see on the daily chart (the chart includes today’s intraday data):
The gold price is 0.7% higher, as it is trading near the $2,750 level. What about the other precious metals? Silver is 3.1% higher, platinum is 0.3% higher and palladium is 1.2% lower. So, the main precious metals’ prices are higher this morning.
Today, we will get the CB Leading Index release at 10:00 a.m. There will also be speeches from the FOMC Members.
