Daily Gold News: October 22 – Gold Price: Trading Along $2,750
Gold is near the record high again following yesterday’s intraday pullback.
The gold futures contract gained 0.33% on Monday, October 21, as it further extended advances, reaching a new record high of $2,755.40. On Thursday, gold broke above its previous high despite strengthening U.S. dollar, strock market’s uncertainty. On Monday, the market accelerated its record-breaking advance.
This morning, gold is trading along yesterday’s all-time high, as we can see on the daily chart (the chart includes today’s intraday data):
The gold price is 0.5% higher, as it is trading slightly above the $2,750 level. What about the other precious metals? Silver is 1.8% higher, platinum is 1.5% higher and palladium is 2.2% lower. So, the main precious metals’ prices are higher this morning.
Today, we won’t get any new important economic data.
