Daily Gold News: October 23 – Gold Price: Higher Again
Gold keeps reaching new records, breaking above the $2,750 level.
The gold futures contract gained 0.76% on Tuesday, October 22, as it extended its record-breaking rally once again, reaching a new record high above the $2,750 level. The yellow metal keeps gaining amid strengthening U.S. dollar, geopolitical tensions and incoming U.S. Presidential Elections.
This morning, gold is trading slightly higher, as we can see on the daily chart (the chart includes today’s intraday data):
The gold price is 0.1% higher, as it is trading above the $2,760 level. What about the other precious metals? Silver is 0.9% lower, platinum is 0.4% higher and palladium is 0.9% lower. So, the main precious metals’ prices are mixed this morning.
Today, we will get the Existing Home Sales release at 10:00 a.m., and the Beige Book at 2:00 p.m.
